The project will improve the visibility and safety of the intersection of Stockwell Road and Penrice Road at Nuriootpa.
Stockwell Road carries up to 1800 vehicles each day with around 40 per cent being heavy vehicles.
The project will create an off-set intersection by installing ‘teardrop’ medians at the Penrice leg, as well as improved line marking, signage and lighting. The $750,000 project is funded through the Commonwealth Black Spot Fund.
Nuriootpa Dog Park
Located near the Para River, the Nuriootpa Dog Park is a place where dog lovers can let their four legged friends enjoy the outdoors leash free. The Dog Park offers pedestrian gates, dog bag dispensers and bins.
The Angaston Cemetery is under the care of The Barossa Council. The Cemetery has grave, niche wall and memorial rose options.
The Barossa Bushgardens are situated on a 7-hectare site and showcases approximately 130 out of 400 local Barossa plant species.
