Live and Local
Live and Local, in partnership with the Live Music Office and South Australia's Music Development Office, is a comprehensive capacity building program which seeks to strengthen the ecology of local grassroots live music communities.
Live and Local provides a series of professional development workshops and a live music forum for local musicians, music venues and local businesses to discuss the future of live music in the region.
Another key feature of the program is the establishment of a working group. The group is made up of local representatives to support growth of the local music scene, and local Music Industry Roundtable discussions with national leaders, such as agents, managers, venue operators.
The program is also structured to be sustainable by increasing live music performance opportunities and providing sector development that will have impacts and results well after the project has concluded.
Barossa Live and Local's first micro music festival was held in April 2023, within the Barossa Vintage Festival at the Vintage Festival Hub and surrounding Tanunda business venues on the evening of April 22.

Barossa Live and Local Micro-Festival Music Event
A Live and Local micro-festival music event activates local businesses within a precinct or local area (both traditional and non-traditional venues) who provide performance space for local musicians.
These free events demonstrate the benefits of live music within business premises (at no cost to the businesses involved) and showcase local music that is suitable to each business.
On 28 October 2023, Barossa Live and Local will deliver the region’s second micro music festival in Lyndoch. This micro festival partners with the Southern Barossa Alliance’s 5th youth focused Budburst music festival.
