Australian Citizenship Ceremonies

In line with our commitment to building a strong sense of community pride and participation in community-building activities, we hold citizenship ceremonies at various times throughout the year.

All candidates are allocated to various ceremonies by the Department of Home Affairs. Please contact them to find out when you can expect to have your ceremony on 13 18 80.

Ceremonies are usually held in the Council Chambers and conducted by the Mayor, (or suitable alternate officer). Details of our ceremonies are outlined in our Australian Citizenship Ceremonies Policy.

Citizenship ceremonies are conducted in compliance with the Australian Citizenship Ceremonies Code.
