Barossa Live and Local Music Industry Forum

The Barossa Council are proud to present the Barossa Live and Local in partnership with the Live Music Office and the South Australian Government's Music Development Office, a capacity building program for local live music communities that delivers:

• Micro-festival music events showcasing local musicians in local businesses
• Professional development
• Local industry forums

The Barossa Council invites you to have your say at the Barossa Live & Local Music Industry Forum, on Wednesday 8th November at 5:30pm at the Barossa Regional Gallery.

Whether you’re a musician, business or venue owner, event manager or all-round live music enthusiast, this forum is a valuable opportunity to network with council and community and discuss what a thriving live music scene looks like for The Barossa Council region.

The outcomes of this forum will assist council in delivery of the region’s Live Music Action Plan as part of Barossa Council’s Community Plan 2016-36 to lead activities that celebrate the history and culture of the Barossa and its people. Your voice will inform Council's evaluation and implementation of the following goals:

1. That live music continues to be recognised and supported as an integral part of the Barossa’s identity: both as a community activator and as a part of the broader regional brand.
2. There is ongoing funding and investment through a variety of sources to ensure that the Barossa is activated through music in our many varied, unique and world-renowned spaces.
3. The Barossa is committed to the support of its musicians and music industry, and actively works to nurture local talent, including youth-led initiatives.
4. There is ongoing investment to ensure that the Barossa is a destination for live music audiences seeking a discerning and varied musical offering both from local and touring talent.
