About
The Tanunda Croquet Club, and other fascinating stories.
Was there really a Tanunda Croquet Club? (the answer by the way is yes) And what did they have to do with the cookbook? What do the recipes, the epithets, the ingredients and the language tell us about the women who contributed to the cookbook?
And why are there 13 different recipe versions for honey biscuits?
We will unpack all of that and more, then listen in as we tell the stories of Edith Brock and her brothers, along with Esther Ahrens, her sisters and their brother Walter.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the conclusion of the session and you are invited to join us for a light afternoon tea to mingle and chat further.
Afternoon Tea: Esther’s honey biscuits. Tea and coffee will be available.
