Opening Event - Tanunda Recreation Park Inclusive Playground

We are excited to be officially opening the new Inclusive Playground at the Tanunda Recreation Park!

The new Playground has been made possible by State Government grant funding of $330,221.00 and a Council contribution of $782,800, making it a total budget of $1,113,000.00 to design and construct the new Playground. Features of the Inclusive Playground include a flying fox, trampolines, climbing/elevated play, slides, swings, sand and water play, barbecue shelter, drink fountain, seating and an all-access toilet block.

To celebrate the opening of this great new facility we are hosting a community event. Kids can enjoy free entertainment by Jess who will be running an interactive circus workshop, she will be doing magic tricks, a giant bubble show, juggling and unicycling!

There will also be free face painting for the kids and the Nuriootpa Library will be running some Christmas arts and craft activities.

BJ Snack Shack will be serving up hot dogs, toasted sandwiches, donuts and of course tea and coffee for the adults. Barossa Valley Ice Cream Company will be offering a selection of their delicious ice creams.

At 11:30am there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony by the Mayor and the Hon. Emily Bourke MLC, Assistant Minister to the Premier and Assistant Minister for Autism.
