More than 20 traders in Tanunda and 30 stallholders are, and they’re excited to partner with The Barossa Council to bring the Tanunda Christmas Shopping Night to town on 24 November.

Not only will participating venues along Murray Street be open late, The Barossa Visitor Centre will also come alive with festive cheer, hosting their popular Barossa Made Christmas Twilight Market from 5pm until 8pm.

The Barossa Council manager tourism services, Ms Jo Seabrook, said shoppers will find a wonderful array of gift ideas and one-night-only specials around town.

“You’ll find all sorts, from local handcrafted and artisan items, through to food and wine, clothing, textiles, toys, homewares, jewellery, art and health and wellbeing products,” said Jo.

But it’s the fun-filled, vibrant community atmosphere the event inspires that Jo loves most about the evening’s shopping experience.

“There’s such a lovely family-friendly market feel around the Tanunda Town Square and we have live music too,” said Jo.

“It’s all about encouraging people, especially visitors, to stay around and make the most of the night by enjoying a meal and a drink at our many local eateries and wine bars.

“We can all do with a little retail therapy! What a perfect time for tourists and locals to gather in town and find some Christmas treasures, while supporting local business and enjoying the hospitality our region has grown famous for.
