Library Services Review 2022
The 2022 library service review was undertaken to examine existing public libraries services in the region. The review considered Council strategies, community demographics and needs, and public library industry benchmarks and trends, and community consultations in early 2021 and 2022.
The recommendations arising from the review provide a roadmap for The Barossa Council to deliver a high-quality, contemporary and equitable public library service to its community. This will enable libraries to deliver a suite of individual and community benefits including informed and connected citizens, library and lifelong learning, personal development and well-being, economic workforce development, stronger and more creative communities and digital inclusion.
This page will provide an overview and regular updates on the implementation of the 18 recommendations in the review, and an opportunity to provide feedback and input to the changes being made.
The full review and report can be viewed in the Council meeting agenda (19 July 2022, Ordinary Council meeting, agenda – see page 366).
