Shining a light on local soccer

The lights have been installed to illuminate the new synthetic soccer pitch at Barossa United Football Club's home ground, located at the northern end of Nuriootpa Centennial Park.

It's another step in the progression of the $4.11m soccer precinct, an initiative of Council's The Big Project, which invests in the region's recreation, culture and social infrastructure.

With funding support from the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program offered by the Australian Government, the soccer precinct project is helping to meet the needs of the fastest-growing participation sport in the Barossa and beyond.
