Roles and responsibilities
Our group undertakes regular working bees to control weeds and revegetate our watercourse. We use locally native species to restore the creek bed and banks to reduce erosion and increase habitat for wildlife.
About Friends of Parrot Hill Creek
Friends of Parrot Hill Creek is an informal group of volunteers who are continuing to build on a longstanding community commitment to re-establish local, native vegetation around our township of Moculta.
Our group has a particular focus on increasing biodiversity to Parrot Hill Creek and in Deane Reserve. Duckpond creek flows into Deane Water Reserve and then flows into Parrot Hill Creek within the township.
