Roles and responsibilities
The URTLG has opportunities to help out with nursery and administration work in Mount Pleasant. The group also have two conservation parks where volunteers are welcome to join in with bushcare activities through April-October: Porter Scrub Conservation Park and Cromer Conservation Park.
There are also opportunities to help out with monitoring projects including birds and for a nationally endangered plant, Clover glycine.
About Upper River Torrens Landcare Group Inc.
The URTLG has, since 1989 been engaging the local communities in Mount Pleasant, Birdwood, Mount Torrens, Gumeracha and Forreston in local action environmental activities. Revegetation, practical demonstrations and knowledge sharing have been the focus for the group, however, since the 2019/20 Cudlee Creek bushfires the URTLG have been working and delivering projects to support affected landholders.
