Roles and responsibilities
Barossa & Light Community Transport was established in 1992 to help transport disadvantaged residents of The Barossa Council and Light Regional Council get to appointments and activities.
What would you need to become a volunteer driver?
Time- Have a few spare hours each month.
Empathy- Have empathy for frail-aged and vulnerable people.
Driving- Have good driving skills and a driving license.
Friendly- Enjoy meeting and interacting with people.
Accreditation- Be prepared to attain Volunteer Driver Accreditation.
When would I be required to drive?
This is entirely your choice. Some of our volunteers drive twice weekly, others monthly or on an ad-hoc basis to fit in with their lives.
We are flexible to your needs.
