Women's Information Service Volunteer

This volunteer is required to:

• work as part of the WIS team to provide comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date information
• respond to clients in a manner that is appropriate to the needs of women from diverse range of cultural backgrounds
• keep up-to-date with current issues and developments in the women's sector
• assist with general office duties as required

Skills/experience required:

• a high level of negotiation, written and verbal communication skills
• ability to relate well to women from a range of backgrounds and life experiences
• ability to be flexible and work effectively in a team
• basic computer skills
• willingness to learn and undertake the volunteer training program

Volunteers are required to attend at least one 4 hour shift per week

Comprehensive training will be provided
