Barossa Assessment Panel

The Barossa Assessment Panel (BAP) has been established for the purpose of acting as a delegate of the Council in its role as a "relevant authority" under the Development Act 1993. The BAP has its own Terms of Reference, Operating and Meeting Procedures and makes decisions independently from the Council.

Members of the Barossa Assessment Panel are required to strictly adhere to the State Government's Code of Conduct. Any complaints regarding an Assessment Panel Member's conduct are to be forwarded to the State Planning Commission. Further information regarding Assessment Panels can be found at the SA Planning Portal.

The majority of Members of the Panel are independent of Council as required by the law with one Council Member also appointed. Council manages the appointment or replacement of Panel members.
