Community Assistance Scheme Committee
The Community Assistance Scheme Committee (CASC) was established to manage heritage, community and youth grants in accordance with objectives outlined in the Community Assistance Scheme Policy. The committee assesses applications by following the CASC policy and has its own Terms of Reference.
CASC meetings are scheduled for the first Wednesday of February, May and August and the first Tuesday in November at the Barossa Council Office in Nuriootpa (unless otherwise specified).

Community grants
Community grants are provided for non-profit groups, clubs and organisations whose interest or purpose is towards projects and activities, which contribute to the development of the community within the council area.
Youth grants
Youth grants are provided to youth who are excelling in their field of endeavour or have been selected for a significant development opportunity as a result of excellence in a particular field, for amounts of $200 and $250 depending on their representation level.
Heritage grants
Heritage grants are provided to the owner(s) of a property which is of Local Heritage significance or a contributory place as listed within The Barossa Council authorised Development Plan.
