Council workshops

Council holds informal meetings, normally workshops, to explore ideas and receive information briefing from staff or the community. Generally, they are held to exchange information, explore issues and ideas or provide informal input to strategic, policy and community matters. The Local Government Act 1999 controls how workshops are to be managed.

Workshops are usually scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm. If held electronically, public access may be provided by a recording of the workshop, except to those matters that may be confidential.

Council’s Informal Gatherings Policy advises the community on the purpose and intent of its workshops and as a result, will improve community understanding of and trust in our decision-making process. Workshop dates and agenda items are listed below.
