Water supply systems (Standpipes) have been installed in Eden Valley, Moculta, and Mount Pleasant to provide additional water resource capacity for our community.
Improved water security will support the sustainability of primary production across broadacre, livestock and viticulture.
A new standpipe, tank, pump, power and control system have been installed at Eden Valley and Moculta, and upgrades made to the standpipe infrastructure at Mount Pleasant, including relocating of the standpipe away from the main road.
We are pleased to deliver this project which was funded through the Commonwealth Government's Drought Communities Program.
Water may not be suitable for human consumption.
Eligibility
The provision of water is primarily for stock and domestic use by property owners within The Barossa Council area who do not have access to a reticulated water supply and require water as a consequence of ongoing drought conditions.
Locations
Mount Pleasant - Railway Terrace, within Talunga Park - Showgrounds, near the Community Wastewater treatment plant.
Eden Valley - Rhine Park Road, 100m East from the intersection with Eden Valley Road.
Moculta - 780 Hutton Vale Road, within the sporting grounds, behind the oval and clubrooms.
Water supply
Water supply is not guaranteed and we are under no obligation to provide water from an alternative source in the event of a system failure, and will not be liable for any losses incurred by the non-supply of water.
Due to the electronic nature of the control system, water may not be available in the event of a power failure.
We will endeavour to rectify faults in a timely manner.
