Authorised persons
The Council, the Chief Executive Officer and other Council staff are appointed under state law to exercise various powers as Authorised Persons.
A Council Officer will identify themselves, but if you are concerned or unsure that they are a representative of Council please contact Council immediately.
You can request to see the identity card of a Council Authorised Persons if their position requires them to have one. This includes Council’s General Inspectors who manage issues such as parking and dogs, as well as Development Services Officers.
