Rates and charges Rates and charges information Rates can be paid in full by 14 September 2021 or in four (4) approximately equal instalments due in the first weeks of September, December, March and June. Financial hardship If you are experiencing financial difficulty our Rates Hardship Policy outlines how you may be eligible for support to pay your rates. Landscape SA Levy The Regional Landscape (RL) levy (previously known as the NRM levy) is a State tax. Councils are required under the Landscape South Australia Act 2019 to collect the levy on all rateable properties on behalf of the State Government. Property valuations All land within a Council area, except for land specifically exempt such as Crown land and Council occupied land, is rateable.
