Policies, procedures and committees Barossa Assessment Panel The Barossa Assessment Panel (BAP) was established to act as a delegate of the Council in its role as a "relevant authority" pursuant to the Development Act 1993. Building Fire Safety Committee The Building Fire Safety Committee inspects existing commercial premises to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and our Building Fire Safety Policy. Strategic Planning and Development Policy Committee The role of the Committee is to advise Council on the management, development and changes to policies related to land use and development. Building Inspection Policy Building inspections in line with the Building and Swimming Pool Inspection Policy and the legislated requirements under the Development Act 1993 as per the Decision Notification Form issued with the Development Approval.
