Waste and recycling services The Barossa Council encourages ratepayers to take the challenge to: 'Waste Less, Recycle More' Recycling and green waste We are seeking to reduce the amount of waste going into landfill each year. Please join us in our challenge to ‘Waste Less, Recycle More’. Waste collection A three-bin kerbside collection service is offered to residents within our designated waste collection area. Hard rubbish and the Springton Transfer Station Hard waste, eWaste and green waste can be easily disposed of at The Springton Transfer Station E-waste and recycling (not Kerbside) To reduce the carbon footprint of our community, we strongly encourage you to recycle as part of a commitment to a sustainable environment. Community sharps disposal facilities Sharp containers are available for purchase from our main office and all branch offices. Request for new waste services You can request a range of waste services including a second bin, special services, damage and replacement. Other waste services If your property has any hazardous waste, you can dispose of this safety at one of the Hazardous Waste Depots within the area. Skip bin permits If you intend to temporarily place a skip bin on a footpath, road or council reserve, you will need to apply for a permit.
