Hard waste vouchers are available from 4 October 2023!

You can also use your voucher to dispose of green waste.

Secure your voucher from 4 October to 30 November 2023. But, get in quick as limited vouchers are available. You'll have until Saturday, 9 December 2023 to use it.

Where to use your voucher

Your hard waste voucher, which can also be used to dispose of green waste, can be used before Saturday, 9 December 2023 at participating service providers, Springton Waste Transfer Station, Eco Waste Solution, Yard Clean Up Man and KAND do it. Each provider has different requirements about what material you can dispose of - read on to find out more.

Springton Waste Transfer Station

Springton Waste Transfer Station is a hard waste facility located in Springton. You can take your hard waste, eWaste, drumMUSTER containers, or green waste to the dump on the second Saturday of every month from 9am to 3pm, plus we have additional opening days during the redemption period:

  • 14 October
  • 28 October
  • 11 November
  • 25 November
  • 9 December

You don't need to book, unless you're bringing more than 30 drumMUSTER containers, but we do recommend getting there early to beat the traffic.

Eco Waste Solutions

Eco Waste Solutions is a hard waste recycling facility that can accept both hard waste and green waste materials including concrete, soil, cardboard, timber, tyres, mattresses, and more. Like many hard waste facilities they cannot accept asbestos, perishables (such as food waste) or hazardous liquids.

You can take your waste to Eco Waste Solutions between 7am-5pm Monday-Friday and 9am-2pm Saturdays.

Yard Clean Up Man

Yard Clean Up Man is a local business that will come to you and collect hard waste from your property. Some of their services include the removal of hard waste, concrete and brick cut-offs, scrap metal, green waste, wood, cardboard and furniture - for more information find a full list of Yard Clean Up Man Services.

KAND do it

KAND do it is another local, convenient service provider that will collect hard waste from your property.

Similar to Yard Clean Up Man, make sure to give them a call on 0466 612 351 or email kand.doit@internode.on.net to book your hard waste collection ahead of time.

FAQs

If you miss out on a hard waste voucher this time round, don't worry you'll get another chance. Hard waste vouchers will be available again in early 2024 for those that didn't secure one already this financial year.

And, at the same time if you live in the approved service area determined by our waste contractor, Solo Resource Recovery, you will have the option to secure a kerbside collection instead.

Kerbside collection incentives are not available at this time, however they will be available to eligible residents early in 2024.

Note that if you secure a hard waste voucher you will not be eligible for a kerbside collection incentive within the same financial year.

No, you can only secure one incentive within the same financial year, either the kerbside collection or hard waste voucher, but not both.

Hard waste vouchers will be available to secure between 4 October to 30 November 2023.

You'll have a bit of extra time to use your voucher up until Saturday, 9 December 2023.

The items you can dispose of using our hard waste voucher differs from business to business.

Before redeeming your voucher make sure you check with participating service providers Springton Waste Transfer Station, Eco Waste Solutions Willaston, Yard Clean Up Man or KAND do it to find out what items they accept.

In any case, note that commercial and industrial waste isn't accepted by any business.

You can use your hard waste voucher at Springton Transfer Station the second Saturday of every month between 9am-3pm or at Eco Waste Solutions - Willastons - Monday to Friday 7am-5pm and Saturday's 9am-2pm.

Alternatively, you can use your hard waste voucher with Yard Clean Up Man and KAND Do It. Both services will come and collect hard waste from your property at a suitable date and time confirmed when booking with them.

You are eligible for a hard waste voucher if you live in The Barossa Council region, except if you or someone else living at your property apply to the following:

  • have booked our Kerbside Collection incentive for the same financial year
  • have secured another Hard Waste Voucher in the same financial year
  • your property is not residential (is commercial or industrial)

You can collect and use one (1) hard waste voucher per property, per financial year.

The Hard Waste Vouchers are valued at $75 (incl. GST) each.

If the cost for hard waste removal is more than the value of the voucher, any amount incurred above the value of the voucher is to be paid directly to the vendor when the voucher is redeemed.
