Request for new waste services
All new waste service requests must be submitted to Solo Resource Recovery, who will obtain approval from Council. A fee will be charged for any new or additional service that is approved.
If you are a tenant, please contact your property manager or landlord to request a service.
If you wish to lodge a complaint in relation to the kerbside collection service, it is preferred that you log this directly with Solo Resource Recovery. However, in some instances, this may not be appropriate and Council will assist when you lodge a request for service.
If you would like to make a request for new waste with Solo Resource Recovery you can contact them directly on 8295 5077 or alternatively fill out their Council Enquiry Form online at this link

If you are a tenant, please contact your property manager or landlord to order an additional service. The additional service will be added to your service charge that appears on your rates notice.
Request for special circumstances
Under special circumstances, a general (landfill) waste service upgrade is offered free of charge to residents. However, there are set conditions for these special circumstances and they are primarily to encourage further recycling.
A property owner may request special service under the following circumstances:
a) A Large Family or
b) Special Medical Conditions.
You must provide evidence as outlined in the Waste Management Service Policy with the request. Any special circumstance provision will need to be renewed each financial year (to confirm eligibility) and a renewal application will be issued prior to the renewal date.
Commercial premises can upsize to 240L General (Landfill) Waste Bin at an additional cost and may request additional bins from Solo Resource Recovery, which are charged annually at the unit rate cost.
You are required to notify Council if your circumstances change, this includes moving from your current premises or a variation in your health/family status. Application for this service does not guarantee approval and each request is individually assessed. All applications are subject to Council approval.
Bin repair and replacement
Please contact Solo Resource Recovery to report and request a bin replacement. You can also contact the Solo Resource Recovery if you require bin repairs or need to have your bins replaced due to severe damage.
If you are a tenant, please contact your property manager or landlord to report lost/damaged bins.
Special on-site property collections
Residents within private land divisions with private access roads under strata management are entitled to the standard waste collection service.
Aged care facilities and caravan parks may apply to have their bins picked up from within their premise rather than kerbside.
It is the responsibility of the property owner or relevant Community Corporation or Strata Corporation to seek an indemnity directly with our contractor before the service commences.
If you would like to request an on-site property collection, please contact Solo Resource Recovery.
