Youth Barossa

Youth Barossa is a network of committed organisations, workers and volunteers that work together to share resources and accumulate knowledge, skills and funds to promote and advance young people and their projects. The Youth Project Coordinator is an active member of the Youth Barossa committee.

One of Youth Barossa's core roles is the managing of a small grants scheme, for individuals and groups, with grants used for youth projects, and also an emergency voucher scheme.

Youth Making It Happen is a Youth Barossa project begun in 2010 to address the gaps in how information about youth services is delivered in the region. The central focus of this project will be the delivery of a Youth Barossa website designed and delivered by local young people. It will provide social networking, information and a platform for youth to have a voice in the community and the facility to develop a system of Youth Advisory Committees to address youth needs. The website will help address the issues of reaching a geographically dispersed population.
