This year’s theme for Australian Food Safety Week from November 6-12 is ‘Raw and Risky foods’.
An estimated 4.1 million people get food poisoning in Australia over a year with about 1 million Australians having to visit a doctor; 32,000 people end up in hospital and 86 people die.
To help prevent adding to these figures, awareness of food safety is important.
