Council will commence drainage works on Para Wirra Rd on Monday, 11 December.
Following the sealing of Para Wirra Road, Council identified some latent issues with poor subsoil drainage which have been contributing to road surface defects, particularly along a 500metre section of road.
The drainage works will rectify these pavement drainage issue where water was externally entering the road pavement and caused failures to the road surface i.e. potholes, seal broken, deformation.
The work is expected to take between six to eight weeks to complete (subject to weather), during this time there will be speed and lane restrictions in place to ensure the safety of workers and road users, predominately by the usage of a mobile traffic light system from Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm.
