Tanunda Recreation Park Masterplan released

Council has approved the release of the Tanunda Recreation Park masterplan for community consultation.

There has been significant progress since the original masterplan was developed in 2014, including the completion of additional upgraded tennis and netball courts, removal of the poultry shed, and discussions with SACA (state cricket) and SANFL (state football) to advance these sports at Tanunda Recreation Park.

Discussions are also continuing around expansion of the bowling club within their current footprint, and the inclusion of a second football oval (junior code size).

The prioritisation, phasing and costing of the updated concept plan is yet to be completed, and dovetails into the broader “Big Project” work.

Council is seeking community feedback on the draft masterplans from 30 January to 3 March 2017 inclusive. Submissions can be made via email to barossa@barossa.sa.gov.au, via the form below, at our dedicated engagement platform www.ourbetterbarossa.com  or in hard copy. Please note our method of consultation is not structured with direct questions, but instead seeks your feedback through an open-ended response form, allowing you to provide extensive comments and feedback.

The masterplan can be viewed at branch offices or online (see links below). Please note in the masterplan currently out for public consultation, the RSL entrance appears marked out. This is unintended and should be included. Detailed discussions will form part of a report to the March 21 Council meeting but anyone with specific enquiries can contact Community Project Director Joanne Thomas on 8563 8450.
