Dwelling owners located within all townships and in the majority of rural locations throughout the area receive a weekly 140 litre wheelie bin kerbside general waste collection service.
Families with six or more members in permanent residence are able to upgrade their wheelie bin size from 140 litres to 240 litres without additional charge, however, evidence of all resident family members must be provided in writing by way of formal request prior to the upgraded service being approved.
Requests for service upgrades are to be forwarded to Chris Kruger - Executive Assistant, Development and Environmental Services, for approval.
General waste collection services are also available to non-residential property owners on request.

Green Organic Waste
The Barossa Council provides an optional fortnightly 240L wheelie bin green organics collection service to property owners located within all major townships throughout the area. This service is directly invoiced to participating residents by NAWMA and is not included within Council Rates.
It is important for all property owners to ensure that only those materials deemed suitable for collection are placed in the wheelie bins to ensure the green organic waste is not contaminated and that it can be further processed for reuse for as mulch or compost product in domestic and agricultural applications.
