Springton Transfer Station

The Barossa Council operates a transfer station at 1508 Springton Road, Springton opposite Barossa Boundary Road which opens on the second Saturday of each month between 9am and 3pm.

Domestic hard waste and green waste is collected and effectively recycled or disposed to land fill via our waste management partners.

The Transfer Station does not operate on days declared Total Fire Ban.

Fees and Charges:

Cash or Cheque Only – EFTPOS facilities are not available and credit will not be given.

Non Accepted Materials:

The public is advised that the following will not be accepted at the Springton Transfer Station:

  • Permapine posts - To dispose of treated timber (permapine posts) please contact the IWS Group on 8348 5110 to ascertain costs and arrange a time to drop off at their Dublin site
  • Tyres
  • Loose paper
  • Plastic
  • Concrete
  • Car bodies

Fridges and Freezers must have gas cylinders and doors removed before dumping.

Mulch:

Mulch is available for purchase - Untreated $35 for a 6x4 Trailer Load.

Other options for disposal in the area include Kuchel Contractors, a green organics recycling facility.
