It's almost that time of the year again!!!

The cycling action of the 2018 Santos Tour Down Under and Santos Women's Tour Down Under will roll into the Barossa from 12 January, so where will you catch the action?

Now in it's 20th year, the Barossa has been affiliated with the Santos Tour Down Under since the first race came through the Barossa in 1999. 

This year, there are so many opportunities to catch all the action and be part of the excitement and enthuiasm that the Santos Tour Down Under is renowned for. 

Stage Two of the Santos Women's Tour Down Under will feature what is expected to be a particularly gruelling hill climb finish at Mengler Hill on 12 January. The women's peloton will race across the Barossa from Lyndoch to Mengler Hill.

And to keep the cycling vibe alive, why not join the Southern Barossa Community for the family-friendly Wheels on the Green event on Lyndoch Village Green on Monday, 15 January from 5.30pm. It's a great community event and a precursor to the big race the very next day. 

Stage One of the Santos Tour Down Under will see riders leave the historic Port Adelaide before riding north along the Port River Expressway to the Barossa where they will complete three laps of the Southern Barossa, commonly known as the “cool end of the Valley”, before a spectacular finish in Lyndoch. 

Discover great spectator vantage points in the townships of Williamstown, Lyndoch and Cockatoo Valley with a photo finish in Lyndoch.

Lyndoch will come alive with the Southern Barossa Village featuring family entertainment, markets and food and drink stalls. Stake your claim on the picturesque Lyndoch Village Green and get set for spectacular cycling action and a carnival atmosphere.

Mount Pleasant pass-throughs

Mount Pleasant residents can also catch a glimpse of the Santos Tour Down Under action when both men's and women's stages pass through via Tungkillo Road. Stage 1 of the Santos Women's Tour Down Under arrives at 11.30am on Thursday, 11 January, while Stage 4 of the Santos Tour Down Under arrives at 12.56pm on Friday, 19 January.
