Roles and responsibilities
Would you like to make visits to older people who have no regular visitors?
Volunteers for this role should have good conversation and listening skills and empathy for older people.
Where: Aged care facilities and people's homes
When: A minimum of one hour per fortnight is all that is required
Lutheran Care Community Visitors Scheme is looking for friendly, reliable volunteers who can make a small but regular commitment to visiting an older person. Volunteers are matched to people who have similar interests in order for rewarding friendships to develop.
